Years as an Episcopalian? Over 60 years
What gifts, talents and experience would you bring to the work of the Vestry?
I am a people person with communication skills. I have management experience that included budgeting.
What drew you to consider serving on the Vestry and what excites you about this possibility at this moment in your life?
I have always had an interest in knowing what the vestry does. At this stage in my life, I have time to invest in my church family; to be involved in growing our church family and reaching out to the community. I have felt that Church of the Ascension is my forever home from the first day I came to a Sunday Service. This church family has given me so much
that I want to be a part on helping us move forward in the coming years.

Years at the Church of the Ascension? 11 years
Years as an Episcopalian? 8 years
What gifts, talents and experience would you bring to the work of the Vestry?
One of my strengths is that I am driven by learning. If I don’t know about a subject, I tend to research it in order to become an expert or at least very knowledgeable on the subject. I have years of technology experience which could benefit the church. Another strength of mine is that I am a critical thinker. I was a firefighter for 10 years and now a solution architect, so I’ve spent my career resolving issues and coming up with ideas for new problems.
What drew you to consider serving on the Vestry and what excites you about this possibility at this moment in your life?
My first time doing something extra for the church was being on the search committee. Now, I am looking for the next opportunity which I think would be the vestry. I’m ready to take on more a leadership role at my church and help shape the church for my kid’s future.
