We offer Christian Formation (Sunday School) for all ages every Sunday morning at 10 o’clock. As a ministry, Christian Formation’s primary goal is to ensure that every person at Church of the Ascension (CoA) has the resources necessary to build a closer relationship with God and apply the same to their walk with others in community. Community is very important at CoA— we support building strong relationships with others, committed discipleship habits, and creating spaces to explore better understanding each other and the world in which we live. Christian Formation strives for interesting class offerings that are accessible to all.
If you have a passion for teaching, and if you have a gift or talent you believe might benefit our community, we invite you to be a part of our team. We are always looking for new, interesting class offerings, especially during the week! We do require that all our leaders/teachers who work with children have a current Safeguarding God’s Children certificate. That can be obtained through the Diocese of Atlanta or by attending one of our in-house training session offered throughout the year.
