The Red Door Food Pantry began at Church of the Ascension and then became it’s own 501c3. The pantry is currently housed at the Church of the Ascension. Sharing Christ’s love by sharing food has always been an active ministry at the parish. Red Door Food Pantry also partners with other community organizations to provide food to those in need: Friendship Table at First Presbyterian Church, Bless Coalition (Hope for Christmas and Supplies for Success), and Advocates for Children to name a few.

Since 2013 it has been part of the Atlanta Community Food Bank serving about 150 families each week at the main site and serving additional families at a mobile site. Since 2021 it has been its own 501c3 nonprofit.
