welcome home
We know that coming to church—whether for the first time or after a long time away—can feel daunting. You’re not alone. Many of us at The Church of the Ascension have journeyed here from different denominations, traditions, and life experiences. What unites us is a shared longing for hope, connection, and a faith that speaks to the heart of today’s world.
In these uncertain times—when the world feels heavy with conflict, change, and division—we gather to remind each other: hope is not lost. Our faith is not just a story from the past. It’s a living promise. It tells us that love is stronger than fear, that light still breaks through darkness, and that grace meets us exactly where we are, even when we don’t feel ready for it.
At Ascension, we don’t pretend to have all the answers or to be perfect. But we are real. We’re a community walking together—through joys and struggles—committed to holding space for one another with compassion, honesty, and courage.
In this sacred space, we take Christ’s love seriously. While the world may divide, we seek to celebrate the beauty and dignity of God’s creation in every person. We affirm people of all genders, races, ethnicities, ages, abilities, and backgrounds. We honor the God-given worth of every person—no matter your sexual orientation, economic status, family structure, or personal story.
Here, you are seen. Here, you are valued. Here, you belong.
So come as you are. Join us in discovering a faith that speaks to the heart, and a community where grace lives, hope grows, and love has the final word.
Welcome home. We hope to see you this Sunday.
